Commercial Credit Policy
Gulf Poly Pipe LLC may offer commercial credit terms to qualified business customers. Credit is not automatic and remains subject to written approval.
1. New accounts
New customer accounts are prepaid unless Gulf Poly Pipe approves different terms in writing.
A prior prepaid purchase does not by itself create Net 30 or other open-account terms.
2. Requesting commercial credit
A business may request a secure commercial credit application by contacting Gulf Poly Pipe.
The evaluation may include:
- legal business name and entity information;
- billing and Accounts Payable contacts;
- tax and resale documentation;
- requested credit limit;
- bank and trade references;
- commercial credit reports;
- financial statements;
- ownership or authorization information; and
- transaction size and expected purchase activity.
Do not submit SSNs, personal guarantees, bank account credentials, or confidential financial statements through the ordinary website contact form.
3. Approval
Credit approval may establish:
- a credit limit;
- payment terms;
- deposit requirements;
- permitted order types;
- documentation requirements; and
- conditions for continued availability.
Approval applies only to the legal entity named in Gulf Poly Pipe’s written approval. It does not automatically extend to affiliates, owners, subsidiaries, projects, or related companies.
4. Order-level review
An approved credit account does not guarantee acceptance of every purchase order.
Gulf Poly Pipe may require a deposit, additional security, prepayment, or a lower order amount when:
- the order exceeds the available limit;
- the order is unusually large;
- the product is mill-direct, custom, special-order, or nonreturnable;
- supplier terms require advance payment;
- the account has limited history;
- financial or credit conditions have changed; or
- the transaction presents elevated performance or collection risk.
5. Credit limits
The Customer must remain within its approved limit, including open invoices, pending releases, committed special orders, freight, taxes, and other charges.
Amounts exceeding available credit must be prepaid or otherwise secured before Gulf Poly Pipe commits or releases the material.
6. Payment terms
Payment terms begin on the invoice date unless the invoice states otherwise.
The Customer is responsible for timely payment even when:
- its customer or project owner has not paid;
- material has been resold;
- the project is delayed;
- the Customer has a dispute with another party; or
- the Customer has not completed internal approval.
The Customer must notify Gulf Poly Pipe promptly of invoice questions and must pay all undisputed amounts when due.
7. Credit hold
Gulf Poly Pipe may place an account on credit hold for:
- a past-due balance;
- returned or reversed payment;
- exceeded credit limit;
- incomplete documentation;
- material adverse change;
- inaccurate information;
- unresolved fraud concern; or
- failure to comply with agreed terms.
While on hold, Gulf Poly Pipe may suspend quotes, purchases, supplier commitments, releases, or deliveries.
8. Modification or withdrawal
Gulf Poly Pipe may review, reduce, suspend, or withdraw commercial credit at any time based on payment history, financial condition, credit information, transaction risk, or business conditions.
A change applies prospectively and does not eliminate existing payment obligations.
9. Personal guarantees
A personal guarantee is not required through the public website.
For certain accounts or transactions, Gulf Poly Pipe may separately request a personal or corporate guarantee through a secure written process. Any consumer credit inquiry will require the authorization and legally permitted purpose applicable to that inquiry.
10. Confidentiality and security
Credit information is used for account evaluation, order administration, financing, collection, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Gulf Poly Pipe may disclose relevant information to authorized credit-reporting, reference, financing, factoring, insurance, banking, legal, accounting, or collection providers as permitted by law and applicable authorization.
11. No commitment until approval
Submitting a credit request does not:
- guarantee approval;
- reserve material;
- establish a credit limit;
- modify a quotation;
- accept a purchase order; or
- obligate Gulf Poly Pipe to extend terms.
Only written approval from Gulf Poly Pipe establishes commercial credit terms.
